Workshop for volunteers to assist visually impaired persons at home, March 11

A training sessions was held at the Support Center for Visually Impaired Persons, on 11 March 2019 for proper treatment of Visually Impaired Persons for volunteers. These volunteers will be included in the new program of the Support Center – Service for support of Visually Impaired Persons at home.

The training consisted of presentation of the regular activities at the Support Center, work, structure and achievements of the Support Center, demonstration and simulation of exercises for real situations in which the Visually Impaired Persons are facing in their everyday life in which all the volunteers took part in the training and this training is of great importance for future activities of volunteers during their practice and maintaining contacts with all interested beneficiaries for this service.
During the training, the volunteers were introduced to the Adviser/manual for proper treatment of Visually Impaired Persons in Braille, and demonstration of Braille typewriters, which are used by Visually Impaired Persons.
At the end of the training, the video for proper treatment of Visually Impaired Persons was played to the volunteers with the 10 tips on how you should and how you should not be treat the VIP. In the end, the volunteers demonstrated some of the practical tips. 3 volunteers took an active participation at the workshop, which received the necessary information planned in the framework of the training and the team from the Support Center for Visually Impaired Persons.
